Martin Gurri
Martin Gurri is a geopolitical analyst and expert in new media and information effects. He served the DNI Open Source Center in various senior positions, including Director of Research and chief of a Latin American bureau. Gurri is the author of articles on social media and the influence of visual imagery and of the book The Revolt of the Public and the Crisis of Authority in the New Millennium which was first published in 2014 and updated in 2018. He has been "praised for foreshadowing the political shocks of Brexit and the rise of Donald Trump", especially the latter argument much in line with Michael Moore. Marc Andreessen, co-founder, Netscape and Andreessen Horowitz commented on it as:
